Jul 05, 2019 (Euclid Infotech Ltd via COMTEX) -- Andrey Vanin has been appointed Senior Vice President and Head of SberX (the ecosystem development unit). Andrey will oversee the comprehensive development of non-banking services in Sberbank Groups ecosystem as well as the integration of its banking and non-banking components. Mark Zavadsky, previously the Head of SberX, will continue to work with Sberbank as a consultant.

Lev Khasis, First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank:

Developing the ecosystem is one of the highest priorities of Sberbank Group. SberX drives the development of the ecosystems services and also integrates its banking and non-banking components, so it is hard to overestimate the significance of this unit in terms of the implementation of Sberbanks strategy. I wish Andrey success in his new role and I am grateful to Mark Zavadsky for his contribution to the formation of SberX.

Andrey Vanin graduated from Kemerovo State University and holds an MBA from MANCOSA and London Business School. He joined Sberbank in 2011 as Regional Director for Siberia and the Far East, and a year later was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Moskovsky Bank with responsibility for its Retail Unit. In July 2017, he became CEO of Sberbanks subsidiary Business Environment JSC. In March 2019, Andrey was appointed Vice President for the Corporate Client Ecosystem. In the short period that he held this position, he was able to successfully build effective interaction between the banking and non-banking business teams in the B2B segment and thereby lay the foundation for the development of a cohesive and balanced Sberbank ecosystem.
