A newly built, five-bedroom, nine-bathroom home in the exclusive equestrian community of Rolling Hills, California, heads to market on Monday for just under $18 million, Mansion Global has learned.

The 10-acre estate in Los Angeles County, named Hacienda del Prado , sits on cliffs above the Pacific Ocean, according to Douglas Elliman agent Cory Charlupski . He and Fredrik Eklund , also of Elliman, have the listing.

“We have essentially 10 acres of pure ocean views,” Mr. Charlupski said.

The mansion, completed earlier this year, was built in a U-shape centered around a central courtyard, so every room also provides a vista, he added. It’s about 8,900 square feet, and features an additional 1,000 square feet of flex space in the basement that could be used as a gym, wine cellar or safe room.

Designed by California architect Michael Burch , the main home was built in the Spanish Colonial Revival style. It was staged for the sale by JSN Studio’s Adair Curtis , one of the star’s of “Styling Hollywood,” a Netflix show about designing homes and events.

Interior features include vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, wide-plank Oak floors and hand-carved wooden doors and windows. The office furniture and cabinetry, which is included in the sale, was imported from San Miguel de Allende , Mexico.

Seven custom fireplaces can be found throughout the property, including in several of the formal reception rooms. The gourmet kitchen boasts a 60-inch La Cornue Chateau range, plus a butler’s kitchen with a Miele range and Sub-Zero commercial-grade refrigerator and freezer.

The principal bedroom suite encompasses the west wing of the house, and features a private terrace overlooking the ocean, a custom walk-in closet and a bathroom with a marble floor, soaking tub, dual vanities and separate shower.

Other features include a Lutron smart home technology system, a home security system, an employee or security room and a separate work room.

Outside, amenities include a pool and lounge area with pergola and fire pit, a custom steel outdoor kitchen with sink, grill, pizza oven and Argentinian barbecue grill, a tennis court, a driveway lined with Carob trees, a porte cochère, four covered parking spaces and two large motor courts.

“It also has the most luxurious horse accommodations you’ve ever seen,” Mr. Charlupski noted.

That includes stables for five horses, a paddock, a riding arena and large tack room with a bathroom and laundry facilities. In addition, the Rolling Hills community offers about 23 miles of riding trails, the agent added.

Rolling Hills is a city unto itself, with its own school, emergency services and security detail. The community provides privacy and security, plus the chance for horse lovers to be part of an extensive equestrian community.

For those looking to create a compound, there’s also room to expand, according to Mr. Charlupski.

“The property is underbuilt,” he explained. “There is significant room if someone wanted to increase the footprint of the home.”
