The Dow /zigman2/quotes/210598065/realtime DJIA -2.29% was most recently trading 767 points (2.8%) lower, as shares of American Express /zigman2/quotes/203805826/composite AXP -4.06% and Dow Inc. /zigman2/quotes/203121064/composite DOW -2.84% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge's intraday decline. American Express's shares have dropped $6.20 (6.0%) while those of Dow Inc. are down $2.90 (5.8%), combining for a roughly 60-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are 3M /zigman2/quotes/205029460/composite MMM -2.14% , Caterpillar /zigman2/quotes/203434128/composite CAT -3.20% , and Honeywell International Inc. /zigman2/quotes/205583690/composite HON -3.06% .
