The Dow Jones Industrial Average is rallying Wednesday afternoon with shares of American Express and Goldman Sachs leading the way for the index. The Dow (DOW:DJIA) was most recently trading 281 points, or 1.1%, higher, as shares of American Express (NYS:AXP) and Goldman Sachs (NYS:GS) have contributed to the index's intraday rally. American Express's shares have risen $5.03 (5.3%) while those of Goldman Sachs are up $9.99, or 5.1%, combining for a roughly 103-point bump for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are JPMorgan Chase (NYS:JPM) , Caterpillar (NYS:CAT) , and Raytheon Technologies Corp. (NYS:RTX) . A $1 move in any of the index's 30 components results in a 6.86-point swing.
