Bed Bath & Beyond surges on earnings

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Bed Bath & Beyond (NYS:BBY)   posted fiscal second-quarter earnings of $1.17 a share, vs. $1.16 a year ago, on revenue of $2.94 billion. Shares surged on the report.

Lipocine (NAS:LPCN)   said it will host a conference call Wednesday to discuss “top-line results” from its phase 3 study of oral Androgen replacement.

Atossa Genetics (NAS:ATOS)  said the FDA didn’t clear its ForeCYTE Breast Aspirator for marketing in the U.S. Shares lost half their value in late trading.

GrafTech International announced a corporate restructuring that will include a charge of $20 million in the third and fourth quarters.

The huge data breach at Home Depot (NYS:HD)  has begun to trigger fraudulent transactions that are draining cash from customer bank accounts, in some cases, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Also on investors’ radar after hours are shares of companies expected to report Wednesday morning before the start of trading. They include Accenture (NYS:ACN)  , which is expected to earn $4.53 a share on revenue of $29.84 billion and KB Home (NYS:KBH)  , which is expected to report earnings of $1.31 a share on revenue of $2.41 billion.
