President Joe Biden will sign an executive order opening up HealthCare.gov for a special enrollment period, the White House said Thursday. The special enrollment period will be between Feb. 15 and May 15. The orders also will direct agencies to reexamine policies that undermine protections for preexisting conditions and make it more difficult to enroll in Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act. Biden also will rescind the global gag rule which bars international non-profits that provide abortion counselling or referrals from receiving U.S. funding.
