NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Boeing Co. /zigman2/quotes/208579720/composite BA -3.58% said Tuesday it bought Alenia North America's stake in Global Aeronautica LLC as it continues to bring more of the 787 Dreamliner's operations under its direct control. Chicago-based Boeing is now the sole owner of the North Charleston, S.C., facility. The site joins the mid-fuselage sections for the 787. Financial details weren't available. In July, Boeing purchased the South Carolina facilities of Vought Industries that builds the fuselage components for $580 million. The 787 is more than two years behind scheduled because of problems in its supply chain and design flaws in its light-weight materials. Shares of Boeing closed Monday at $54.30.
