Boeing's shares are up $2.44, or 1.6%, while those of Travelers are up $1.61 (1.5%), combining for a roughly 27-point boost for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Chevron /zigman2/quotes/205871374/composite CVX +1.02% , American Express /zigman2/quotes/203805826/composite AXP +0.19% , and Verizon Communications Inc. /zigman2/quotes/204980236/composite VZ +0.41% .
