Brinker to launch its virtual brand, Maggiano's Italian Classics, nationwide in 2022

Brinker International Inc. /zigman2/quotes/203470869/composite EAT -5.94% announced Wednesday that it will launch its virtual delivery-only brand, Maggiano's Italian Classics, nationwide in 2022. Maggiano's Italian Classics ghost kitchens are now in select markets, with Brinker using existing locations to fill orders. Menu items include baked penne, cheese ravioli and Mom's Lasagna. Brinker has a virtual brand for its Chili's chain as well, It's Just Wings, which launched during the last week of fiscal 2020. Brinker stock has tumbled 38% in 2021 while the S&P 500 index /zigman2/quotes/210599714/realtime SPX -0.39% has gained 23.1% for the period.
