Among the companies whose shares are making notable moves in Thursday's session are Primero Mining Corp. (P.T), Harry Winston Diamond Corp. , Descartes Systems Group Inc. /zigman2/quotes/200239682/composite DSGX -0.15% and Garda World Security Corp. (GW.T).
Primero Mining (C$3.10, -C$0.46, -13%) has lowered its gold production view for the year and expects higher cash costs as a result of a month-long strike and lower-than-expected gold grades.
Harry Winston's (C$14.29, -C$0.51, -3.5%) second-quarter profit fell 23% despite a revenue surge as a small number of high-value but low-margin sales pulled overall margin down.
Descartes (C$6.50, C$0.29, 4.7%) said second-quarter earnings were up 30% on a 14% improvement in revenue.
Garda World (C$8.96, -C$0.26, -2.8%) said second-quarter earnings fell to 12 Canadian cents a share from 17 Canadian cents, though revenue improved to C$297 million from C$280 million.
