Listed below are the stocks expected to move during Tuesday's trading session. They are listed with Friday's closing prices. Markets were closed Monday for a holiday.

Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. (VRX, C$50.47, down 0.7%) said it has agreed to buy Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp. (MRX) for US$2.6 billion.

Twin Butte Energy Ltd. (TBE.T, C$2.58, up 2.0%) said it has agreed to buy private heavy-oil producer Waseca Energy Inc. for about C$127 million in cash and stock. Waseca is over 81%-owned by Sprott Resource Corp. . Twin Butte will also boost its monthly dividend 6.7% to 1.6 Canadian cents a share.

Aluminum Corp. of China (ACH) has ended its bid to buy coal producer SouthGobi Resources Ltd. (SGQ.T, C$2.69, down 5.9%). Chalco was to have purchased a majority stake in SouthGobi from Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd. , formerly Ivanhoe Mines Ltd., for US$920 million.
