Shares of Walgreens Boots and Verizon Communications Inc. are trading lower Thursday morning, dragging the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory. Shares of Walgreens Boots (NAS:WBA) and Verizon Communications Inc. (NYS:VZ) are contributing to the blue-chip gauge's intraday decline, as the Dow (DOW:DJIA) was most recently trading 86 points lower (-0.2%). Walgreens Boots's shares are down $1.74 (4.3%) while those of Verizon Communications Inc. have fallen $1.26, or 2.8%, combining for an approximately 20-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are Nike (NYS:NKE) , Visa (NYS:V) , and Amgen Inc. (NAS:AMGN) . A $1 move in any of the index's 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
