Dow, S&P start lower on Persian Gulf worries

Wednesday's analysis

CINCINNATI (MarketWatch) - U.S. stocks opened lower Wednesday, hurt by Persian Gulf tensions and disappointing durable goods orders.

Specifically, orders for durable goods rose 2.5% in February, falling shy of the consensus estimate calling for a 3.8% increase.
