Behind strong returns for shares of Apple Inc. and Microsoft, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Wednesday afternoon. Shares of Apple Inc. (NAS:AAPL) and Microsoft (NAS:MSFT) have contributed to the blue-chip gauge's intraday rally, as the Dow (DOW:DJIA) was most recently trading 61 points higher (0.2%). Apple Inc.'s shares are up $7.14 (1.9%) while those of Microsoft are up $3.47 (1.7%), combining for an approximately 73-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Nike (NYS:NKE) , Walt Disney (NYS:DIS) , and Boeing (NYS:BA) . A $1 move in any of the index's 30 components equates to a 6.86-point swing.
