The Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Tuesday afternoon with shares of Nike and Microsoft leading the way for the index. The Dow (DOW:DJIA) was most recently trading 93 points (0.3%) higher, as shares of Nike (NYS:NKE) and Microsoft (NAS:MSFT) have contributed to the index's intraday rally. Nike's shares are up $3.32, or 2.9%, while those of Microsoft are up $3.67, or 1.8%, combining for an approximately 46-point bump for the Dow. Amgen Inc. (NAS:AMGN) , Procter & Gamble (NYS:PG) , and Visa (NYS:V) are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark equates to a 6.58-point swing.
