Gold futures climbed above $1,900 an ounce Tuesday to score their highest finish in a week as a decline in the U.S. dollar continued to provide support for the dollar-denominated precious metal. December gold /zigman2/quotes/210039572/delayed GCZ20 -0.36% rose $20.90, or 1.1%, to settle at $1,903.20 an ounce. That was the highest finish for a most-active contract since Sept. 22, according to FactSet data.
