The Dow Jones Industrial Average is rallying Thursday afternoon with shares of Goldman Sachs and Apple Inc. seeing positive growth for the blue-chip average. Shares of Goldman Sachs (NYS:GS) and Apple Inc. (NAS:AAPL) have contributed around one third of the blue-chip gauge's intraday rally, as the Dow (DOW:DJIA) is trading 286 points, or 1.1%, higher. Goldman Sachs's shares are up $10.89 (5.8%) while those of Apple Inc. have risen $2.76 (2.6%), combining for a roughly 90-point bump for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Microsoft (NAS:MSFT) , Caterpillar (NYS:CAT) , and Coca-Cola (NYS:KO) . A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow equates to a 6.58-point swing.
