Amazon Prime Video
"The Boys" is back for a second season on Amazon Prime Video on Sept. 4.

Twisted superheroes, a pandemic (don’t worry, a different one) and a ton of movies are coming to Amazon Prime Video in September 2020.

The streaming service from Amazon.com Inc. /zigman2/quotes/210331248/composite AMZN +0.21%   will roll out the highly anticipated second season of the dark comedy/action series “The Boys” (Sept. 4), which sees the foul-mouthed vigilantes on the run from the law and the corporate-controlled superheroes, The Seven.

Also on tap; “Utopia” (Sept. 25), a conspiracy thriller adapted by Gillian Flynn (“Gone Girl”) about a group of comic-book fans who must stop a global bio-weapon pandemic from being unleashed; “All In: The Fight for Democracy” (Sept. 18), a documentary about voter suppression in the U.S.; and a pair of late August releases: “All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur” (Aug 31), a docu-series about the English soccer club’s trying 2019-’20 season; and the Scottish culture-clash comedy “Get Duked!” (Aug. 28).

Amazon also has a ton of movies coming, including the sci-fi classic “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” (Sept. 1), Dustin Hoffman in the iconic “The Graduate" (Sept. 1), the underrated Jason Statham heist thriller “The Bank Job” (Sept. 10), Will Smith’s “Gemini Man” (Sept. 18) and Renee Zellwegger’s “Judy” (Sept. 25).
