The House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol has postponed its scheduled Wednesday hearing as Hurricane Ian approaches Florida. "In light of Hurricane Ian bearing down on parts of Florida, we have decided to postpone tomorrow's proceedings. We're praying for the safety of all those in the storm's path. The Select Committee will soon announce a date for the postponed proceedings," the committee said in a tweet. The panel has been building a case against former President Donald Trump in a series of televised hearings, and Wednesday's scheduled hearing was expected to be the final public one before the committee publishes its full report.
