Shares of IBM and Intel are seeing strong returns Wednesday morning, propelling the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. The Dow (DOW:DJIA) was most recently trading 108 points (0.4%) higher, as shares of IBM (NYS:IBM) and Intel (NAS:INTC) have contributed to the index's intraday rally. IBM's shares are up $6.11, or 4.4%, while those of Intel have risen $0.80, or 1.3%, combining for an approximately 47-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Cisco (NAS:CSCO) , McDonald's (NYS:MCD) , and American Express (NYS:AXP) . A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow equates to a 6.78-point swing.
