TOKYO (MarketWatch) -- Japan's benchmark indexes headed higher Wednesday morning, following a rally on Wall Street. The Nikkei 225 was up 1.4% at 9,437.88, with Toyota Motor /zigman2/quotes/203803129/delayed JP:7203 -1.49% /zigman2/quotes/207653022/composite TOYOF +1.33% the biggest gainer among the auto makers, up 2.5%. Shares of oil companies also climbed, with Inpex /zigman2/quotes/206689846/delayed JP:1605 -2.82% up 0.8%, and Nippon Oil up 1.2%, as prices for front-month crude futures rose by 26 cents to $62.71 per barrel on Globex.
