Joe Biden is getting inaugurated as the U.S.’s 46th president on Wednesday in a ceremony like no other, and MarketWatch reporters are bringing you live updates on the action as it happens.

With the coronavirus pandemic and the threat of violence after the Jan. 6 storming of the U.S. Capitol, crowds are at a minimum, and security is high. Biden took his oath of office just before noon Eastern, and then gave his inaugural address. Vice President-elect Kamala Harris was sworn in before Biden.
