SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — Among the stocks to watch Thursday when U.S. markets re-open in 2014 are Landec Corp., Resources Connection Inc., and DryShips Inc.
Landec (NAS:LNDC) is expected to post fiscal second-quarter earnings of 13 cents a share on revenue of $124.2 million, according to analysts surveyed by FactSet. On Nov. 22, the company cut its quarterly guidance to 13 cents a share and the stock fell 8%.

Resources Connection is estimated to report fiscal second-quarter earnings of 15 cents a share on revenue of $138.5 million.
Shares of DryShips fell 5.3% to $4.45 late Tuesday after the ocean-cargo transportation-provider said it would resume sales of shares under its $200 million market issuance program after having suspended the program in early December.
