Microsoft Corp. [msft] debuted its new Surface Pro 7 detachable tablet at its fall launch event in New York City on Wednesday, showcasing new editing capabilities alongside the company's Office product suite. Users can make edits to a word document by crossing out words with their pen or write in new text to cells in Excel. The company highlighted voice inputs as well. The device starts at $749 and will be available on Oct. 22, with preorders beginning today. The company also showed off its new Surface Earbuds, which have two microphones per ear and filters for noise reduction. The earbuds have 24 hours of battery life. They'll be available later this year, starting at $249. Microsoft's stock is down 2.2% in Wednesday morning trading, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average /zigman2/quotes/210598065/realtime DJIA -0.88% is off 1.7%.
