With airports getting back to life after the governments ease norms at local levels, there is a need for stringent hygiene maintenance to ensure that we aren't hit by the second wave of COVID-19. On May 20, United Airlines launched United CleanPlus, advertised as its commitment to ensure that the safety and health of people is put at forefront to ensure a better customer experience with industry-leading standard of cleanliness.

Ford Motor Company ( NYSE: F ) gained 3.36% on a volume of 85.44 million shares. Most of the manufacturing companies at present are not just at strategic and business losses, but are also at the crossroads of reputational and legal risks, fretting over employees' protection and safety while restarting factories amid COVID-19. Ford, which started its North American factories, last week after a long shutdown, doesn't feel the road ahead is easy.

Even as it becomes mandatory now to put ignition back into economy, the road ahead isn't smooth. Ford had to temporarily shut down two of its factories again as two workers tested COVID-positive. As a result, there had to be deep cleaning exercise and temporary shutdown for critical facilities.

Ford Explorer SUV plant in Chicago had to be closed again after another employee at a nearby supplier facility tested positive for coronavirus. This has resulted in shortage of parts. That is why it seems that it is a lot harder to reopen even as businesses try to figure out what to do.
