NXP shares rose 2.7% after hours, following a 1.6% decline in the regular session to close at $134.89. NXP expects fourth-quarter revenue of $2.38 billion to $2.53 billion, while analysts surveyed by FactSet had forecast on revenue of $2.27 billion. The company reported a third-quarter loss of $22 million, or 8 cents a share, versus net income of $109 million, or 38 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Revenue was flat at $2.27 billion from a year ago. Analysts had forecast revenue of $2.24 billion. Earlier in the month, NXP had forecast third-quarter preliminary revenue of $2.27 billion , compared with an earlier mid-point forecast of $2 billion.
