PepsiCo Inc. /zigman2/quotes/208744353/composite PEP -1.07% said Monday that it has set a goal to source renewable electricity across all of its operations by 2030. For franchise and third-party operations, the goal is 2040. Pepsi currently meets its goal for all-renewable electricity in nine countries, and procures renewable electricity in 18 countries. PepsiCo has joined RE100, a global initiative to transition business to 100% renewable electricity, and earlier this year joined Business Ambition for 1.5°C pledge, a group that aims to limit global warming to 1.5°C. PepsiCo stock is down 4.7% for the year to date while the S&P 500 index /zigman2/quotes/210599714/realtime SPX -1.86% is up 0.7% for the period.
