Pfizer's shares have gained $1.80 (4.9%) while those of McDonald's are up $6.14, or 3.2%, combining for an approximately 55-point boost for the Dow. Dow Inc. /zigman2/quotes/203121064/composite DOW -1.18% , Coca-Cola /zigman2/quotes/209159848/composite KO -0.20% , and IBM /zigman2/quotes/203856914/composite IBM -1.73% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any of the benchmark's 30 components results in a 6.86-point swing.
