ServiceNow Inc. /zigman2/quotes/202729495/composite NOW +1.46% shares jumped more than 6.5% in the extended session Wednesday after the company beat the consensus earnings and revenue estimates. The company reported fourth-quarter net income of $598.7 million, or $3.03 a share, compared with $7 million, or 4 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Adjusted for stock-based compensation and a one-time income tax benefit, among other things, earnings were 96 cents a share. Revenue rose to $951.8 million from $715.4 million in the year-ago period. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had estimated adjusted earnings of 87 cents a share on revenue of $941.3 million. For the first quarter, analysts model adjusted earnings of 89 cents a share on sales of $1.01 billion. ServiceNow stock has gained 69% in the past year, with the S&P 500 index /zigman2/quotes/210599714/realtime SPX +1.45% rising 24%.
