Deutsche Boerse AG said late on Thursday that Siemens Energy AG will join the German MDAX index, which houses the stocks that rank immediately below those of the blue-chip DAX index.

The German stock exchange operator said Siemens Energy will replace leasing company Grenke AG, which will be relegated to the SDAX, Germany's smallcap index. In the SDAX, Grenke is replacing telecommunications company Tele Columbus AG, Deutsche Boerse said.

Other entries in the SDAX include online furniture retailer Home24 SE, which replaces Secunet Security Networks AG.

The changes will be effective as of Dec 21. No changes were announced to the DAX and TecDAX indices.

The next index review will take place on March 3, Deutsche Boerse said.
