Skyworks Solutions Inc. (NAS:SWKS) shares slipped 4% in after-hours trading Tuesday after the semiconductor company reported a big drop in fourth-quarter revenue year-over-year. Skyworks reported net income of $210.6 million, or $1.22 a share, compared with net income of $285.5 million, or $1.58 in the year-ago period. Adjusted for one-time items, the company reported earnings of $1.52 a share, compared with $1.94 a share a year ago. Revenue plunged 22% to $827.4 million from $1 billion a year ago. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had expected adjusted earnings of $1.50 a share on revenue of $825 million. Skyworks shares are up 51% this year. The S&P 500 index (S&P:SPX) has gained 23% this year.
