Sony Group Corp.'s game unit said it had suspended all software and hardware shipments in Russia.
Sony Interactive Entertainment, which is responsible for PlayStation products and services, said in a statement Thursday that it "joins the global community in calling for peace in Ukraine."
The Sony unit also said it had suspended the launch of racing video game Gran Turismo 7 and operations for the PlayStation Store in Russia.
Russia's invasion of Ukraine has prompted many Western companies across industries to re-evaluate their businesses in Russia. Some have decided to suspend operations in the country, while others have decided to pull out entirely.
