Transport operator Stagecoach Group PLC (SGC.LN) said Thursday that its expectations for earnings per share for the year ending April 28, 2018, haven't changed.

The company also maintains unchanged operating-profit expectations for its U.K. regional bus operations division, as lower-than-expected demand is being offset by a 2.8% increase in revenue per mile, due to higher fare prices.

In North America, the inter-city coach brand megabus.com has seen a 4.4% decline in revenue, but trading at Stagecoach's other U.S. businesses remains in line with company expectations.

Stagecoach added that revenue growth across its rail operations in the U.K. has been broadly consistent with the trends seen in the second half of the previous year.
