Earnings season brings out volatility in stock prices, which can be lucrative if you’re targeting the right companies.

Nvidia’s data-center business is growing rapidly, offsetting a decline in gaming-related sales. Electronic Arts beat analysts’ estimates for earnings and for its outlook, setting up a number of price-target increases by analysts Wednesday.
Iconix beat sales estimates and pleased investors by announcing a deal to sell Peanuts and Strawberry Shortcake-branded products.
