American Surgical Holdings Inc. agreed to be acquired for $2.87 a share cash by an affiliate of private-equity firm Great Point Partners.
Jabil Circuit Inc. /zigman2/quotes/203847835/composite JBL +2.71% reported fiscal first-quarter net income of 49 cents a share, or an adjusted 61 cents, versus 13 cents in the year-earlier quarter. A survey of analysts by FactSet Research produced a consensus estimate of 55 cents for the quarter.
LaserCard Corp. agreed to be acquired by Assa Abloy AB /zigman2/quotes/207071400/composite ASAZY +2.80% for $6.25 a share cash.
Martek Biosciences Corp. agreed to be acquired by DSM /zigman2/quotes/206247551/composite KDSKF +1.44% for $31.50 a share cash, or $1.09 billion.
