Suez SA said late Monday that it has entered exclusive negotiations with Schwarz Group's environmental division PreZero for the sale of its recycle and recovery operations in Sweden for an enterprise value of 3.7 billion Swedish kronor ($418.2 million).
The French waste-management company said its recycle and recovery operations in Sweden operate a network of about 50 sites, employing roughly 1,100 people.
The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2020, the company said, pending regulatory approval and closing conditions.
The announcement comes roughly a week after Suez said that it had entered into exclusive negotiations with PreZero for the sale of its waste-recycling and recovery activities in Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Poland.
