These signals show the punch is coming out of the stock market

Has the correction in the S&P 500 begun?

As far as the broad market is concerned, this is still a bull market, for all the trend lines are still rising. However, some of the punch has been taken out of it. Not only have a couple of sell signals arrived, but the momentum is slowing.

The S&P 500 /zigman2/quotes/210599714/realtime SPX +0.83%   touched its rising 20-day moving average on Wednesday for the first time since Sept. 5, although it hasn’t closed below that moving average.
