With a Walk Score of 85.3, New York is the most walkable of the largest 50 U.S. cities. But even in the Big Apple, some areas are more walkable than others. Parts of Brooklyn have become more residential and walkable in recent years, but Staten Island brings the city’s overall Walk Score down. Walk Score is an online tool that assesses addresses’ proximity to local amenities on a scale of one to 100.
