The trucking company reported first-quarter net income of $104.8 million, or 98 cents a share, versus $119.6 million, or $1.09 a share, in the year-ago period. The company said that it paid $12.3 million in a one-time COVID-19 bonus to employee drivers and staff at field operations and customer facilities. The company said coronavirus-related disruptions began to appear in March and "escalated through the end of the quarter." Revenue rose to $2.28 billion from $2.09 billion in the year-ago period.
