U.K. stocks finished higher Friday, with the FTSE 100 Index (FTSE:UK:UKX) growing 0.11% at 7,550.37.
Of the FTSE 100 constituents, nondurable household products company Reckitt Benckiser Group PLC (LON:UK:RKT) saw the largest increase Friday, as shares rose 2.46%.
Shares of biotechnology firm AstraZeneca PLC (LON:UK:AZN) and software company Avast PLC rallied 2.14% and 1.69%, respectively.
Unilever PLC (LON:UK:ULVR) , a food products company, and pharmaceuticals company GSK PLC (LON:UK:GSK) rounded out the top five largest increases as their stocks rallied 1.68% and 1.65%, respectively.
International Consolidated Airlines Group S.A. (LON:UK:IAG) , a passenger airlines company, saw the largest decline among FTSE 100 constituents, as shares shed 5.11% on Friday.
Shares of residential building construction firm Persimmon PLC (LON:UK:PSN) and gambling industries company Entain PLC (LON:UK:ENT) declined 4.08% and 3.86%, respectively.
SEGRO PLC (LON:UK:SGRO) , an industrial/office reits company, and non-ferrous metals business Antofagasta PLC (LON:UK:ANTO) rounded out the top five largest decreases as their stocks dropped 3.60% and 3.33%, respectively.
The pound was down 1.02% against dollar (XTUP:GBPUSD) at $1.1809 and 0.53% against the euro at €1.1764.
Brent crude rose 1.2% to $97.74, and the yield on the 10-year gilt (XTUP:BX:TMBMKGB-10Y) fell 3.999 basis points to 2.416%.
