Siga Technologies Inc. /zigman2/quotes/201166334/composite SIGA +0.98% said Tuesday that the U.S. government is exercising the option to acquire $26 million of the company's intravenous monkeypox treatment and fund a post-marketing study for the therapy. Siga said it plans to deliver these Tpoxx doses in 2023. Siga's stock has soared 203.0% so far this year, while the broader S&P 500 /zigman2/quotes/210599714/realtime SPX -1.51% is down 13.5%.
