Shares of Wabash National Corp. /zigman2/quotes/201427644/composite WNC +0.95% fell more than 7% early Wednesday after the maker of semi-trailers reported fourth-quarter earnings that missed expectations and offered disappointing guidance for 2019.
After the bell on Tuesday, Wabash reported adjusted earnings of 38 cents a share for the quarter, shy of the 44 cents analysts polled by FactSet were expecting, as component shortages and increased labor and material costs weighed on profits.
The Lafayette, Ind., company said it expects earnings of $1.50 to $1.70 a share for 2019 amid a carryover in supply disruption and cost pressures. Analysts surveyed by FactSet were expecting a profit of $1.71 a share for the year.
Wabash shares were recently down 7.7% to $13.87.
