The White House administration could ban members of the Chinese Communist Party and their families from traveling to the U.S., The New York Times reported on Thursday, citing sources. A presidential proclamation could also allow the U.S. government to revoke visas of those party members already in the U.S. While the document is still in a draft form and President Donald Trump could reject the plan, such a move could spark a similar ban on Americans traveling to China, as tensions rise between the two countries. The Trump administration said Wednesday that it would ban travel for employees of Chinese technology group Huawei and other companies it deems complicit in helping Beijing crack down on human rights in the country.
