Russian Federation : Appeared the first image of the updated Skoda Superb

May 08, 2019 (Euclid Infotech Ltd via COMTEX) -- Skoda has released the first image of the updated Superb for the European market. The models public debut will take place in Bratislava, Slovakia, during the Ice Hockey World Championship. At the same time, the Czech manufacturer will present a new car for the first time during a sporting event sponsored by the last 27 years.

In the sketch, distributed by the Skoda press service, you can see the front of the updated Superb liftback. It differs from the current "pattern" headlights and bumper design. The rest of the appearance has not undergone any noticeable changes. In accordance with the latest trend, in the back, on the tailgate, instead of the logo, Skoda typeface will appear.

According to preliminary information, the salon of the updated Skoda Superb will be made in the Scala hatchback style : the finishing materials will be improved and a modernized infotainment system will appear with new functions and the possibility of updating by air. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support will come as standard. In addition, for the first time, the Superb will be offered with a hybrid powerplant based on a 1.4 TSI turbo engine, like the Volkswagen Passat GTE.

The current Skoda Superb is available from 2015. The model is built on the Volkswagen MQB platform. In Russia, the model is sold at a price of 1,646,000 rubles. The range of engines Superb includes turbo 1.4, 1.8 and 2.0 TSI with a capacity of from 150 to 280 horsepower.
