Buoyed by positive gains for shares of 3M and Procter & Gamble, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Monday afternoon. Shares of 3M MMM and Procter & Gamble PG are contributing to the index's intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA was most recently trading 63 points higher (0.2%). 3M's shares are up $4.28, or 2.1%, while those of Procter & Gamble are up $2.75, or 2.0%, combining for a roughly 46-point bump for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Walgreens Boots WBA, Verizon Communications Inc. VZ, and Honeywell International Inc. HON. A $1 move in any of the benchmark's 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
