The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up Monday morning with shares of 3M and Procter & Gamble delivering the strongest returns for the index. The Dow DJIA was most recently trading 257 points higher (0.7%), as shares of 3M MMM and Procter & Gamble PG are contributing to the index's intraday rally. 3M's shares are up $5.04 (2.5%) while those of Procter & Gamble are up $2.66, or 2.0%, combining for a roughly 51-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Walgreens Boots WBA, Verizon Communications Inc. VZ, and IBM IBM. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark results in a 6.58-point swing.
