Mariah Carey is all about Christmas carols and McNuggets this holiday season.
The “All I Want for Christmas” singer is the latest celebrity to collaborate with McDonald’s Corp. /zigman2/quotes/203508018/composite MCD -0.82% on a limited-time special menu.
Announced on Twitter, McDonald’s will make daily deals available on its app from Dec. 13 through Dec. 24.
McDonald’s has partnered with musical names through its Famous Orders program, which has brought meal deals tied to acts like BTS, Saweetie and J Balvin to customers.
A number of other quick-service chains have gotten on board the musical collaboration bandwagon, with Lil Nas X working with Yum Brands Inc.’s /zigman2/quotes/209029767/composite YUM -0.71% Taco Bell chain, Starbucks Corp. /zigman2/quotes/207508890/composite SBUX +0.24% teaming up with Chance the Rapper for a TikTok challenge and Jack in the Box Inc. /zigman2/quotes/206571438/composite JACK +0.94% creating a virtual restaurant with Uber Eats /zigman2/quotes/211348248/composite UBER +1.13% and Jason Derulo.
The Tim Hortons chain also announced on Twitter Wednesday that it has partnered with Justin Bieber on new flavors for the company’s Timbit product, launching Nov. 29.
Tim Hortons is part of the Restaurant Brands International Inc. /zigman2/quotes/202094900/composite QSR -0.61% portfolio.
McDonald’s shares have gained 18% for the year to date. Restaurant Brands stock has fallen 5.6% for the period. And the benchmark Dow Jones Industrial Average /zigman2/quotes/210598065/realtime DJIA +0.08% has run up 18% for 2021 so far.
