President Joe Biden on Thursday offered comments about the first public hearing of the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, which is due to be held at 8 p.m. Eastern. The attack was "a clear and flagrant violation of the Constitution," and participants were "trying to turn around the results of the election. A lot of Americans are going to see for the first time some of the details," Biden told reporters as he met with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Los Angeles during the Summit of the Americas.
