U.S. stocks are mixed early Thursday — though well off the session’s worst levels — vacillating amid a volatile March start.
Against this backdrop, the S&P 500 is back for its latest crack at the 50-day moving average, currently 3,820, while the Nasdaq Composite has whipsawed Thursday at last-ditch support matching the 2020 peak (12,973).
