Chewy shares slipped 4.3% after hours, following a 0.6% decline in the regular session to close at $30.25. Shares went public at $22 a share in June. The company reported a second-quarter loss of $82.9 million, or 21 cents a share, compared with a loss of $63.1 million, or 16 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Revenue rose to $1.15 billion from $805.6 million in the year-ago quarter. Analysts surveyed by FactSet had forecast a loss of 11 cents a share on revenue of $1.13 billion. The company reported an adjusted loss before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization of $29.2 million, while analysts expected $29.8 million. Chewy expects revenue of $1.19 billion to $1.21 billion for the third quarter, and $4.75 billion to $4.8 billion for the year. Analysts forecast revenue of $1.16 billion for the quarter, and $4.73 billion for the year.
